A quick version of home style mutton Kulambu using our household curry powder (Kulambu podi). If you got all your ingredients ready, it takes less than 30 minutes to cook. This mutton kulambu tastes very fresh and delicious, you can serve with rice, idly, Dosa, chappathi, parota / paratha etc…

Ingredients For Quick Mutton Kulambu

Peanut oil – 40 ml
Cinnamon – 2
Cardamom – 3
Stone flower – 2
Cloves – 4
Star Anise – 1
Bay leaf – 1
Fennel seeds – 1/2 Tsp
Shallots – 15 No’s
Onion – 2 No’s
Curry leaves – 2 spring
Ginger garlic paste – 1.5. Tbsp
Tomatoes – 2 no’s
Mutton – 1 kg
Turmeric powder – 1 Tsp
Salt – To Taste
Chilli powder – 1 Tbsp
Pepper Powder – 1/2 Tbsp
Kulambu podi – 3 1/2 Tbsp
Water – 2 cups
Cashew nuts – 10 or 12 no’s
Poppy seeds – 3/4 Tbsp
Garam Masala powder – 1/2 Tsp
Coriander leaves – 1 spring
