This video is about a very famous Chennai evening time snack called pattanam Pakoda it’s also called medhu Pakoda. This has a very soft taste on the inside and a crunchy outside. Which melts In our mouth, as it is described in the name of the dish. It can be made with simple household ingredients and is prepared in the nick of time.

Ingredients For Pattanam Pakoda

Chick pea flour – 1 cup
Roasted Channa Dhal powder – 1 cup
Rice flour – 1 cup
Ghee – 1 1/2 Tbsp
Baking soda – 3/4 tsp
Salt – to taste
Large onion – 1 no’s
Green chilli – 3 no’s
Ginger – 1/2 inch ( small piece )
Garlic – 2 pods
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Fennel seed – 1/2 tsp
Mint leaves – 6 leaves
Coriander leaves – 2 sprig
Curry leaves – 2 sprig
Oil – for frying
