This Video is about Peanut Chutney and this is just one variation. It is a very good accompaniment for steamed hot idly, all kinds of dosas and goes very well with steamed rice too. It is also very famous in Andhra. It has other names like Verkadalai Chutney, Nilakadalai Chutney, Palli Chutney, Moongphali ki Chutney and Shenga Chutney etc …you can make a variation with adding coconut, tomato, garlic and Tamarind to adjust accoutring to your taste and desire.

Ingredients For Peanut Chutney

Peanut – 200 gm
Urad Dal – 1 1/2 Tbsp
Garlic 4 No’s
Shallots – 7 – 8 No’s
Red Chilly – 10 – 12 No’s
Coriander stem – 1/2 Handful
Curry leaves – 1 Sprig
Tamarind – 1 gooseberry size
Salt – To Taste

Tempering

Mustard seeds – 1/2 Tsp
Red Chilly – 1 No
Urad Dal – 1 Tsp
Hing – 1/4 Tsp
Curry Leaves – 1 Sprig
