This recipe is about simple and very tasty lemon rasam which goes well with any day of the meal. It is also good for cold or soar throat. The spicyness of the pepper corns, the flavour of the cumin, the fresh lentil water and the tangy lemon makes it feel refreshing, you will never get bored of this dish. This is one of the common home made dish , easily pairable with Kara Kari ( spicy vegetable dry dish ), poriyal , mashed greens and roasted papads.
This dish is very easy and can be prepared in short time too.

Ingredients For Lemon rasam

Peppercorns – 1 Tbsp
Cumin seed – 1 1/4 Tbsp
Tomato – 2 no’s
Lentil water – 1 litre
Coriander – 2 sprig
Green chilli – 4 no’s
Salt – to taste
Garlic – 6 to 7 pieces

Tempering :

Mustard – 1 Tsp
Cumin seed – 3 to 4 Tsp
Broken red chillies – 2 no’s
Hing – 1/2 Tsp
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Lemon – 2 no’s
