This recipe is about a simple yet delicious and quick coconut based variety rice which is very popular in South India. This dish can be prepared with few ingredients which suits both kids and adults for their lunch boxes or any other occasions. This rice can be eaten with dry vegetable preparation, fish, chicken or meat which accompanies each other very well .

Ingredients For Coconut Rice

Cooked Raw Rice – 4 Cups
Freshly grated coconut – 1 No
Coconut oil – 2 Tbsp
Mustard- 1/2 Tsp
Channa Dal – 1 Tbsp
Urad Dal – 1 Tbsp
Curry leaves – 2 Sprigs
Dry red chillies – 5 – 6 No’s
Slit Green Chillies – 3 – 4 No’s
Salt – To Taste
Sugar – 2 Tsp
Fried Pappadams – 5 No’s
Ghee – 2 Tbsp
