One such unique herb is Vallarai (Brahmi) which has often been regarded as a brain booster. Brahmi has antioxidants that are essential for living a healthy life. Brahmi is considered to regulate the blood sugar levels for those with diabetes. It is called as Gotu Kola . These leaves are slight bitter in taste, use less leaves. Use more coconut to compensate the bitterness. Please keep in mind don’t use Tamarind, it kills medicinal value .

Ingredients For Vallarai Thuvaiyal

Brahmi leaves : 2 Handful
Oil : 2 Tbsp 
Split Gram dal : 3/4 Tbsp
Urad Dal : 3/4 Tbsp
Dry Red Chillies : 4
Garlic : 6 Pots
Small Onion : 10 To 12
Tomato : 1 
Green chilli : 1
Coconut : 2 to 3 Tbsp 
Salt : To Taste
