This video is about a traditional South Indian lentil and vegetable broth called Sambar. Sambar can be prepared in so many variations using different ratios of lentils and also using different varieties of vegetable according to your choice. This breakfast sambar/ Tiffin sambar can be made with less spices, less tamarind and a very small piece of jaggery which will make a lighter feel in taste that will be suitable for breakfast or dinner and this dish is a good accompaniment for hot steamed idly’s, Dosa, Pongal, Medhu Vadas etc….
