Haleem is a God Heavenly, delicate, most fragrant, nutritious dish. Traditionally consumed during festive period of Ramadan to help with fasting .

Ingredients for Roasting & Boiling

Split Bengal gram lentil – 50g
Split black gram lentil – 75g
Split green gram lentil – 50g
Split Red lentil – 50g
Raw rice – 50g
Pearl Barley – 50g
Daliya or whole wheat Rava – 250g
Green chilly Whole -10 No’s
Salt – To taste

Ingredients For Haleem Masala

Roast all ingredients except nutmeg and rose petals.

Black cardamom, green cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, cumin, shahi Jeera, mace Threads, nutmeg, kabab chini, star Aniseed, black peppercorns, dry ginger & handful of dry rose petals.

Mutton or goat Escalopes – 2 kg
(Thin slices of meat with few bones)
Ghee – 300 ml
Yoghurt – 250 ml
Ginger garlic paste – 2 1/2 tbsp
Golden fried onions – 150 gm
Salt – to taste
Turmeric powder – 3/4 tbsp
Chilly powder – 1 tbsp
Kashmiri chilli powder – 1 1/2 tbsp
Coriander powder – 2 tbsp
Mint & coriander – 1 bunch


Julienne Ginger
Slit green chillies
Golden brown onion
Chopped mint & coriander leaves
Lemon wedges
