It is a very good cold starter serverved in brunch,lunch and evening time snacks .It tastes awesome at the same time healthy in a way of serving protein and milk fat .It is very popular in all over south India especially serve red in summer or in a hot day

Ingredients For vada

Whole urad dal – 250 gms
Ginger – 1 small piece
Green chilli – 2 to 3
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Coriander leaves – 1 sprig
Pepper – 1/4 Tsp
Cumin – 1/4 Tsp
Hing – 1 good pinch
Salt – To Taste
Oil – For frying

For curd mixture

Curd – 750 ml
Mustard seeds – 1/4 Tsp
Chopped ginger – 1/4 Tsp
Green chillies – 1 or 2 no
Dry Red chillies – 2 no
Hing – one good pinch
Chopped curry leaves- 1 sprig
Turmeric powder- a pinch

For garnish

Pomegranate pearls
Chopped coriander
Fried curry leaves
Grated carrots ( optional)
