This video is about onam festival’s very famous kerlalite dessert called Adai pradhaman. This is prepared with Adai, which means dried rice flakes, cooked with jaggery and fresh coconut milk, flavoured with dry ginger powder, and cardamom along with ghee roasted fresh coconut pieces and cashew nuts. It’s a very delicious dish, where the texture of the Adai makes it more tempting to eat. It can be prepared for any occasion also prepared for offerings to the god.

Ingredients

Adai ( rice flakes ) – 200 g
Jaggery – 400 to 450 g
Coconut milk ( first extract ) – 1 1/2 cups
Coconut milk ( 2nd and 3rd extract )- 4 cups
Salt – a pinch
Cashew nut – 50 g
Fresh coconut ( small pieces ) – 75 g
Ghee – 3 Tbsp
Dry Ginger powder – 1 1/2
Cardamom – 1 tsp
