This video is about a very tasty and quick tiffin recipe called puli Aval / tamarind Poha. It’s a very simple dish using poha/ Aval also called pressed rice, along with temperings and tamarind water. It’s got a tangy taste which is also prepared within the time 10 to 15 min. This dish does not have onion and garlic which means it suits to the festival days like navarathri.

Aval – 2 cups
Tamarind – lemon size
Red chillies – 4 no’s
Mustard – 1/2 tsp
Channa Dhal – 1 1/2 tsp
Urad Dhal – 1 tsp
Fenugreek seeds – 1/4 tsp
Hing – 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
Gingelly oil – 40 ml
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Salt – to taste
Peanuts – 2 Tbsp
Water – 3 cups
