This video about a combination of coconut milk and vegetables stew which is called Sodhi. This famous dish is prepared in the region of tirunelveli which is made for occasions like weddings. It’s a very simple dish to prepare at the same time has a very rich taste & aroma. This is generally served with steam rice, strong hoppers and hoppers.

Ingredients

Vegetables

Potatoes- 2 no’s
Drumstick – 1 to 2 no’s
Carrot – 2 no’s
Beans – 8 no’s
White eggplant ( optional ) – 3 to 4 no’s
Shallots – 8 to 10 no’s
Ginger – 1 piece chopped
Garlic – 4 pods
Curry leaves – 2 sprig

Coconut oil – 30 ml
Coconut milk ( first extract ) – 200 to 250 ml
Coconut milk ( 2nd and 3rd extraction ) – 700 to 800ml
Turmeric- 2 pinch
Salt – to taste
Mustard – 1 tsp
Urad dhal – 1 1/2 tsp
Moong dhal – 100 grams
Green chilli – 6 to 7 no’s
