This video is about a steamed rice cake roulade / puttu steamed in a bamboo barrel in a traditional way called kuzha puttu / Puttu. Puttu is a very traditional and healthy breakfast in Kerala eaten along with banana and jaggery. Puttu is popular all over south India and in Sri Lanka. People in some regions take in it as any part of their meal along with vegetable, meat and seafood dishes. This can be made with rice, wheat and other millets either in a savoury way or sweet.
